    Dr. Vibha Tripathi is a graduate and PhD from IIT Kanpur. Prior to starting the Saurya Foundation that works with Swajal, she was working at the electrical engineering department at IIT(K). Dr. Vibha Tripathi specializes on the research and development of thin film solar cells and has held a number of workshops and seminars in the field of renewable energy. She has also guided many students in R&D of solar cells. Under her supervision, IIT Kanpur developed expertise in flexible organic solar cells, a unique idea which has a potential to be a disruptive technology.

    Kumar is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University in engineering and economics. He is currently working at the financial major; JPMorgan and serves as an advisor to the Swajal team. Apart from Swajal, Kumar also founded MindKART (an online education portal), Nirbhaya Urja (A non profit social venture for lighting applications). He is also the IT Division head for VSSE Pvt. Ltd. Kumar is also part of different academic renewable energy organizations and committees. Kumar brings in his enthusiasm for social entrepreneurship and innovations to Swajal and has worked extensively on the detailed project report for Swajal.

    Sonya Fernandes completed her Masters from Institute of Science, Mumbai and has over eight years of research, industry and multilateral/bilateral experience in environment, sustainable development, decentralized energy generation, social development, clean energy access, climate change research, value chain analysis and energy to livelihood nexus. Having held senior positions in international research institutions, funding organizations and donor partnerships such as REEEP(Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership), FutureTrends EHS, Bombay First and TERI(The Energy and Resources Institute); she comes with deep understanding of the social-economic issues impacting sustainable development, investments and scale-up in the region.

    Danny Kennedy is co-founder of Sungevity, Inc. and leads the company’s global business development activities and government relations initiatives. He also plays a central role in developing the Sungevity.org program, an integral component of the company’s Solar Social strategy that has raised over $1 million dollars since 2010 for Sungevity’s non-profit partners. Danny Kennedy is a clean-technology entrepreneur, an environmental activist, and the author of the book Rooftop Revolution: How Solar Power Can Save Our Economy—and Our Planet—from Dirty Energy (2012). While at Sungevity, Kennedy won a Planet Forward Innovator of the Year award from the PBS program Planet Forward. He is currently Sungevity’s president.

    Dr Rashmi Sanghi is currently working as a Research Scientist at The LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur. She obtained her D.Phil degree from Chemistry Department, University of Allahabad, India in 1994. Eversince she worked at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur India as Senior Research Scientist till 2008. She has traveled worldwide for various academic activities and/or professional talks.She has over 75 international journal publications to her credit. She has published two books on green chemistry: “Green Chemistry: Environment Friendly Alternatives” and “Green Chemistry and Sustainable Development”.

    Dr. Agrawal has been internationally recognized as leading scientist in the field of microwave materials processing. He has given over 200 invited and keynote lectures in industry, academia and technical meetings all over the world. Dr. Agrawal was honored for contribution to ceramic research by World Academy of Ceramics for inducting him in the Academy. He is a Fellow of American Ceramic Society. He is has been inducted as guest/visiting professor at Wu Han University of Technology, Kunming University, and Tianjin University Of Technology, China, and University of Malaya, Malaysia. He has also been appointed Member of De Tao Academy, Shanghai, China.He has over 300 publications and 21 patents to his credit.
